A coach at heart, my great joy is to help artists grow and thrive in their creative and personal life. Having successfully overcome my own artistic identity crisis, fear of performing and tumultuous past creative life, my passion is to bring my message of hope and authenticity to creators and performers like you.
Whether I work with seasoned professionals, known entertainers or enthusiastic hobbyists, I deeply believe that a major component of a fulfilled life is the steady and joyful realization of your creative self, and that angst and suffering are NOT requisites to a life in the art.
An artist’s path is challenging as it is, and life dishes out enough pain to give us material for a life time, so do we really have to add our own self-created misery to the mix? I did – to the nth degree – taking a 16 year detour in the world of business and finance (don’t ask!) and losing myself in the process. Life has a funny way of shaping us when we don’t shape it.
Miraculously, a friend introduced me to a creativity coach and I started the long journey back home to self-love, to beauty, to my core creative and authentic self… and forward to a life of joy and inspiration.
Bye-bye suffering. Hello, happiness!
Witnessing my transformation and my natural knack at sharing it, artists and creative entrepreneurs started to ask for my help, which I loved giving. Along the way, I noticed that very few professional coaches specialize in performers and creators and that artists are hungry for this targeted help. I founded Your Best Creative Life and my new career was born.
I am a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), the premier experiential school of coaching in the world, and hold the designations of Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF). I have a degree in Business Administration.
An active member of several professional associations*, I continue to deepen my studies in the performing arts, creativity, neurosciences, somatic healing, positive psychology and the wisdom traditions (yoga, meditation, mindfulness), and seek every opportunity to grow as a person and as a coach to better serve you.
Multi-cultural (I was born in England, raised in France and currently live in northern California) I coach in French and in English and stumble frequently in my pronunciation of words like restaurant and croissant depending in which country I am at the time.
When not coaching, studying, teaching or playing music, you’ll find me daydreaming about far away galaxies where Art is king, losing my balance trying on a yoga pose or eating chocolate chip ice cream. I haven’t managed all three at the same time, yet.
Now you know a little bit about me. How about you? What is Your artistic story? I would LOVE to READ IT. Please send it to my email address. I will respond personally.
” Coleen is a breath of fresh air. She is funny, inspiring, serious, tender, compassionate, wise, creative, indefatigable, real – a joy to coach with. She kicks your ass in a gentle and unassuming way. She inspires me to show up and be my best self. I’ve never been more dedicated to my graphic design career. And I adore her accent.” Graphic Designer – Los Angeles, USA”
