“Really? Promoting my art and myself is rewarding and empowering? Where have you been?” I know, brrr, shivers. Most of us would rather face a fire-spitting dragon in a piranha infested swamp than give a phone call to further our artistic career. Let’s coach to change that.
To prosper to the fullest, many artists also need to learn about handling their finances. In my experience, this is an area where many artists struggle. To succeed professionally as an artist, you must consider yourself an enterprise. I will help you do that. As your coach with a strong business and financial background*, I will be able to help you do a budget, a profit and loss statement for your Schedule C, S-Corp, partnership or LLC, and I will teach you how to set up quarterly tax payments with the IRS and your state (if required). If you don’t know what an S-Corp, LLC, or Schedule C is, don’t worry, that will be part of the coaching. I will also help you stay on track with your plans and your budget. (USA only for specific financial advice.)

First we review your goals and aspirations. If you are unclear – most of us are – we coach on clarifying your objectives and your vision. We lay down the business and financial requirements to accomplish them. We brainstorm ideas, write down the steps, and decide on a destination. Then we fire up the GPS and go!

* Note: I have 16 years of experience in the business world as an entrepreneur running my own tax and business consulting firm; as a business lending officer with the Small Business Administration (SBA); and as a corporate officer in a commercial bank managing their business lending underwriting unit.
